Structured wiring system design for voice and data systems are now typically included as part of our electrical design services. However, this wasn't
always the case.
From the Spring of 1995 to the Fall of 1997, Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers designed local and wide area network (Ethernet) systems as local school
districts took steps to incorporate more technology in their facilities. Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers also designed electrical infrastructure upgrades
which were required to support the technology. In many locations, upgrading to more efficient lighting systems resulted in spare electrical circuits
and panelboard capacity, which could then be used to support new computers and network equipment.
