In 2004, Royal Caribbean International determined they required a third call-center facility to be strategically located in the northwest United States.
They chose a 23.4 acre parcel in west Springfield, Oregon, to construct the 160,000 square foot building. Completed in early 2006, the facility's initial
occupancy was 350 call takers with an ultimate occupancy of 1,000 employees by the year 2009. The building and site development efforts were awarded
LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED points were earned in areas ranging from site landscape and stormwater
collection to building energy efficiency and resource conservation.
