Since 1972, BHE has provided mechanical, electrical and civil engineering and surveying services for a continuous series of hospital
expansion, remodel and relocation projects. Virtually all hospital mechanical, electrical and communication systems have been expanded,
modified or replaced during this time.

Major hospital expansions and renovations for which we have provided engineering services to PeaceHealth and the primary architect, TBG Architects &
Planners, include the following:
~ 120,000 square foot Ancillary Building for surgery and radiology suites
~ 150,000 square foot seven story nursing tower - including a new Emergency Department
~ 12,000 square foot Women's Center renovation
~ 100,000 square foot six story Medical Office Building - Includes one floor dedicated to radiology
equipment and a Day Surgery Center
~ 100,000 square foot Administration/Central Heating Plant Building
The projects noted above have entailed continual upgrade of the following hospital systems: heat recovery wheels; air conditioning chiller plant; space
heating; domestic water heating; fire alarm; nurse call; power distribution; medical gas systems; fire sprinkler systems; and emergency power.
